3 Day Deaf Classes

On April 15-18 I was at 3 day deaf classes in PG. Had an enjoyable time! Yet a big responsibility to teach 23 children. A big Thank-You to Janet for being my helper! Sure wouldn't have been able to manage all the children without your help. I was at Laura's (deaf) place. Taught Laura's family and other neighbor children. The children were eager to see us every morning. The last morning they already stood by the road and waited! Leaving at the end of the day was usually full of "Bye Miss, Bye Miss". The first day they called "Bye Miss" as long as they could see the pickup! Going back the 2nd morning almost seemed harder than the first. Though we knew we would be welcomed, it was just the responsibility of teaching 20+ children who hadn't learned patients but instead they only called "Miss, Miss" till they got what they wanted. We taught them the sign for "Please" and made them to use it before they could have a pencil, paper etc. Which they learned pretty well but soon they all at the same time yelled "Please (signing please) Miss I want the red pencil or blue pencil etc." But it was still enjoyable teaching at Laura's place and we are sure the children enjoyed it too!!! They all wanted to know when we would come back again. And we didn't know but we said maybe not before 2 yrs. One of the little girls had to fight with tears when we told her it might not be before 2 yrs. My prayer is that we will have left a taste of God behind us and that God will continue to work in their lives.
